Zadov–Churáňov is one of the most renowned cross-country skiing centers in the Czech Republic and also a popular destination for downhill skiing. The ski resort offers a total of 12 ski runs in Zadov, Churáňov, and Nové Hutě.

Near the meteorological station in Churáňov, you will find a cross-country skiing area with regularly maintained trails. It is located at an altitude of 1,095 meters and is a popular starting point for ski routes into the surrounding area, as well as one of the access points to the Šumava Main Trail.

Nestled on the Hamerský Stream, this charming Šumava mountain village, with its typical timbered houses dotted across the surrounding hillsides, lies just a few kilometers from Kvilda. A beloved destination for excursions, it boasts cycling routes and hiking trails that, come winter, transform into beautifully maintained cross-country skiing tracks.

The Churáňov Lookout near Zadov is located approximately 1 km south of Churáňov, at the foot of the slope. It is not a classic lookout tower, but an unconventional viewing platform at the top of a wooden ski jump ramp, 32 meters above the ground.
